Check-in and Check-out on Your Yacht

Great that you will be sailing with us soon! We often receive questions about check-in times, so we are happy to explain how it works.

Yacht Charter

Our yacht charters run mostly from Saturday to Saturday. You can usually board from 17:00 onwards due to final cleaning and administration. On return, you must vacate the yacht by 09:00 at the latest, unless you have agreed a different time with the charter company. Please make sure the yacht is refuelled and the final cleaning costs have been paid.

Early Check-in

Arriving early? Sometimes it is possible to check in earlier. This depends on the yacht and the previous charterer. Please note that additional costs are often involved, usually between 10% and 20% of the charter fee. You can request an early check-in by email in advance, or arrange it last minute by phone.

If you arrive early, contact the base manager or call us and we will check together whether it is possible.

Late Check-out

Would you like to stay on board longer? In some cases a late check-out is possible. This depends on the availability of the yacht and must be arranged in advance with the charter company. Please contact us to discuss the options.

Delays or Late Arrival?

Always let us know if you are arriving later than expected. If you experience unexpected delays during your journey, call the base manager. If you cannot reach the base manager, you can call us 24/7.

Often the yacht is already ready and you can stay on board overnight, with the check-in taking place the following morning. Sometimes charter companies charge extra for this, but often it is free of charge.

Return on Friday Evening, Important!

In the Mediterranean it is common and often mandatory to return to the home port already on Friday evening. This applies to most yachts in Croatia, Greece, Turkey and other Mediterranean destinations.

What does this mean in practice:

  • You sail back to the home port on Friday evening
  • A diver inspects the hull of the yacht
  • The technical and financial check-out takes place on Friday evening
  • You are still welcome to sleep on board and depart on Saturday morning

This is important to keep in mind when planning your route. Make sure you reserve enough time on Friday to return to the port on time. Plan your last sailing day accordingly!
